UNL’s Advertising Club
Goal
The challenge here was to create merchandise that would be relevant to the average person, to peak curiosity in a targeted way not limited to potential members. The T-shirts and stickers were created as a way to get non-members asking how they can learn more and get involved.

What I did
Rather than focusing on a specific brand recognition or logo we created a playful look members could enjoy and feel a part of. The idea here was to get people asking ‘where did you get those’ and thereafter what is Ad Club about and how can I join?

Results
Our theme for this year’s UNL Advertising Club was Y2K. A popular trend, aesthetic, and approach to design that has recently resurfaced.

Ad Club Stickers
Incorporating Y2K into stickers while brinigng the conversation to Ad Club. Rather than making potential members a walking advertisement for Ad Club, pun intended. The goal over all was to get people to ask what is Ad Club? These stickers jumped on a classic trend while also subltly marketed UNL’s Ad Club.

This look of Y2K is a nostalgic, retro revival of the 90s, and early 2000s, has caught plenty of traction in the past few years and the Ad Club team decided to join in the fun, making it our theme for this year.

Ad Club T-Shirts
Continuing Ad Clubs y2k theme in order to raise money for the club we created merch. As a club we were looking to get more people talking about Ad Club using stickers. With this theme we were able to speak to our audience as our generation has a soft spot for nostalgia and bringing back vintage trends, especially those with an affinity for fashion icons like Paris Hilton and Justin Timberlake.
